The Roadmap

Your month-by-month planning timeline.

Whichever package you choose, this is the rhythm we plan to — booked in the right order, nothing left to the last minute.

12+ Months Out

Vision, budget, and venue

We build your master budget, lock a guest-count range, and tour Colorado venues together — from Denver ballrooms to mountain lodges in Vail and Aspen. Booking the venue first sets every other date.

9–11 Months

Anchor vendors

Photographer, caterer, and band or DJ book out first in the Colorado season. We shortlist, schedule tastings, and review every contract before you sign.

6–8 Months

Design comes to life

Palette, florals, rentals, and stationery. We build your design board, place the save-the-dates, and finalize your florist and rental order.

3–5 Months

The details

Menu tasting, cake, hair and makeup trials, transportation, and room blocks for out-of-town guests heading into the mountains. Invitations go out around the four-month mark.

6–8 Weeks

Confirm and finalize

Final headcount, seating chart, and the 40-page day-of timeline. We reconfirm every vendor and pre-walk your venue so nothing is a surprise.

Wedding Week

We take the wheel

Rehearsal direction, welcome-bag drop, and a final weather check for mountain ceremonies. On the day, your Summit & Veil team arrives first and leaves last — you just get married.

Before You Book

Questions couples ask us first.

How far in advance should we book a wedding planner in Colorado?

For a full-service Colorado wedding, most couples book us 12 to 16 months out — peak mountain venues in Vail, Aspen, and Estes Park fill their Saturdays more than a year ahead. For The Elopement or a day-of–style Signature engagement, three to six months is usually enough, though we take a limited number of weddings each season, so earlier is always safer.

What’s the difference between full, partial, and day-of planning?

The Full Veil is soup-to-nuts: we start with venue search and budget and design and manage everything through the last dance. The Signature is partial planning — you’ve booked the big pieces and we coordinate the rest, handle design, and run the day. The Elopement covers intimate ceremonies of 20 or fewer guests. If you’re unsure which fits, our free consultation sorts it out in about thirty minutes.

Are your prices the total cost of our wedding?

No — our package price is the planning fee for Summit & Veil’s time and team. The “typical all-in” ranges next to each tier are what couples usually spend across their entire wedding, including venue, catering, florals, and photography. We build and track your full budget so there are no surprises, and we’ll happily flag where couples with your guest count tend to over- or under-spend.

Do you travel to mountain venues outside Denver?

Yes. We’re based on Larimer Street in downtown Denver but plan weddings across the Front Range and the high country — Vail, Aspen, Boulder, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, and Estes Park are all regular territory. Travel beyond a 90-minute radius is quoted per event and folded into your proposal.

Can we customize a package or add services?

Absolutely. The three tiers are starting points. Couples routinely add rehearsal-dinner coordination, welcome events, additional design hours, or a second photographer referral. Tell us what you have in mind at your consultation and we’ll build a proposal around your actual weekend, not a template.

What happens after we book?

You’re assigned your lead planner and get access to our planning portal, budget tracker, and vendor checklist within a week. From there we work the timeline above together — you’ll always know the next three things on your list, and we carry everything else.

Is your wedding date still open?

Send us your date and we'll confirm availability within 24 hours, then book a free 30-minute call to walk your venue, guest count, and budget and recommend a package tier. No deposit, no commitment.
